The Taiwanese government is stepping up efforts to spread the achievements and benefits of an artificial intelligence-linked economic boom to all industries, Minister of Economic Affairs Kung Ming-hsin said in a social media post on Wednesday.
Kung's comments came after some institutions revised Taiwan's GDP growth forecasts upward, with some projecting an increase of up to 10%.
Referencing the revisions, Kung said Taiwan's economic growth had indeed performed well, with the machinery industry -- a sector of ongoing government focus -- experiencing export growth of 18.5% in the first five months of the year.
