Taisun Enterprise (TPE:1218) said it has not yet received the relevant official documents following media reports that prosecutors indicted the company over a food safety violation.
According to the reports, the violation involved excessive benzopyrene levels in salad oil supplied by Chung Lian Oils.
Prosecutors reportedly also sought the confiscation of about NT$130.2 million in alleged illegal gains from Taisun Enterprise, according to a Tuesday Taiwan Exchange filing.
The company said it had removed 10 affected products from shelves and notified the authorities on June 30 after learning the oil failed required safety standards.
