Taisun Enterprise (TPE:1218) provided an update on correctional measures related to the contamination of soybean salad oil products with levels of benzopyrene (BaP) higher than regulatory limits, according to a Taiwan bourse filing Friday.
The company confirmed it will continue to suspend the sale of soybean salad oil products until the safety of each batch is confirmed by a third-party inspection.
Additionally, it reiterated that all soybean oil products from April to June will be recalled and not resold.
The company will also work on a supplier improvement plan, donate NT$30 million for the improvement of domestic food safety inspection capabilities, and continue to cooperate with regulatory authorities in the investigation process.
In a separate filing, the company said the Taichung District Prosecutors Office visited and reviewed documents related to the investigation Friday.
