Tadawul Shares End Week Higher as Saudi Arabia's Operating Revenues Index Ticks Up in June

The Tadawul All Share Index closed the Thursday session 0.26% higher as investors assessed Saudi Arabia's latest short-term business indicators for June.

According to preliminary data from the General Authority for Statistics, the kingdom's operating revenues index rose 6.1% annually in June. Month over month, the index declined 3.2%.

"The Operating Revenues Index increased by 6.1% year-on-year, supported by a 16.9% increase in manufacturing activities, a 0.6% increase in wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles activities, a 2.3% increase in construction activities, and increases of 16.9% and 5.4% in financial and insurance activities and information and communication activities, respectively," the report said.

Meanwhile, the employee compensation index climbed 9.1% year over year, while the issued building permits rose 20.3% annually to 5,045 from 4,192 a year ago.

On the corporate front, Al Rashid Industrial Co. (SASE:9580) and Al-Modawat Specialized Medical Co. (SASE:9594) released their financial statements for the first half of 2026. Al Rashid Industrial posted higher results, while Al-Modawat logged a decrease in net profit, but an increase in revenue.

Al Rashid Industrial and Al-Modawat shares closed 1.98% and 6.11% lower, respectively.

Baazeem Trading (SASE:4051) shares, meanwhile, ticked up 1.10% as it enlisted Al Mammar & Steel to build a Khamis Mushait-based warehouse under a 4.6 million-Saudi-riyal contract.
