Técnicas Reunidas (TRE.MC) on Monday clarified that Bapco's enforcement of guarantees related to a construction project in Bahrain was suspended in Spain, France and South Korea in June.
The enforcement of the guarantees was against the joint venture formed by the Spanish engineering and construction company with Technip Energies (TE.PA) and Samsung, according to a Monday release. The joint venture continues to work on the project and no payments have been made in relation to the guarantees.
Técnicas Reunidas also noted that the joint venture, which began arbitration proceedings, has been working with the Bahraini oil company over the past two months to reach an amicable agreement.
The statement comes after Spanish newspaper Expansión reported that the UK's High Court of Justice of England and Wales dismissed an injunction filed by the consortium and gave Bapco the go-ahead to collect the guarantees.
