Sysmex (TYO:6869) posted a 91% year-over-year surge in profit attributable to owners of the parent for the fiscal first quarter to 8.69 billion yen from 4.55 billion yen.
The in vitro diagnostics company's earnings per share were 14.17 yen, compared with 7.30 yen a year earlier, according to a Tokyo Stock Exchange filing on Friday.
Net sales rose 24% to 130.7 billion yen for the three months ended June 30 from 105.7 billion yen a year ago.
For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, the company expects attributable profit of 37 billion yen, basic EPS of 60.89 yen, and net sales of 545 billion yen.
The company plans to pay interim and year-end dividends of 20 yen, each, for the current year, totaling 40 yen per share, which is higher than the 38 yen annual dividend paid in the previous fiscal year.
