Synopsys, Taiwan Semiconductor Collaborate to Accelerate AI Systems Innovation

Synopsys (SNPS) said Wednesday it has launched new innovations with Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM) to accelerate the development of next-generation AI, high-performance computing, and advanced semiconductor systems.

Synopsys and Taiwan Semiconductor are helping customers address growing design complexity while accelerating adoption of TSM's latest process and advanced packaging technologies, the company said.

The company said it is collaborating with TSM on analog design to achieve device routing enablement on A14, a significant milestone for advanced analog place-and-route automation that improves layout productivity and quickens adoption of advanced process technologies.

Synopsys added that it recently expanded its portfolio of silicon-proven foundation, mobile industry processor interface, and memory intellectual property for TSM's N3P, N2P, and is developing IPs on compact "C" process technologies from 6nm through 3nm.

KB Home Fiscal Q3 Earnings, Revenue Decline

Spire Global Wins $33.2 Million NOAA Contract for Satellite Weather Data

Spire Global (SPIR) won a $33.2 million contract from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to deliver global navigation satellite system radio occultation data to enhance weather forecasting.The data will feed NOAA's prediction models and support weather forecasting, space weather applications, and research by scientific organizations, Spire said Tuesday in a statement.The two-year contract, which starts Dec. 1, includes additional unfunded surge-buy options that may raise the total value to $66 million if fully exercised, the company said.Spire shares rose 2.2% in after-hours trading.
