Super Micro Computer Begins Shipping Nvidia Vera Rubin Server Racks

Super Micro Computer (SMCI) said Wednesday it has started shipping Nvidia (NVDA) Vera Rubin NVL72 server racks equipped with its liquid cooling technology.

Each unit integrates 72 Nvidia Rubin graphics processing units and 36 Nvidia Vera central processing units, integrated with Supermicro's Data Center Building Block Solutions and DLC-2 technology, the company said.

The company said it also provides data center blueprints to support facility setups ranging from 5 megawatts to gigawatt scale, Supermicro said.

Shares of the company were up 1.1% in Wednesday trading.

Spire Global Wins $33.2 Million NOAA Contract for Satellite Weather Data

Spire Global (SPIR) won a $33.2 million contract from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to deliver global navigation satellite system radio occultation data to enhance weather forecasting.The data will feed NOAA's prediction models and support weather forecasting, space weather applications, and research by scientific organizations, Spire said Tuesday in a statement.The two-year contract, which starts Dec. 1, includes additional unfunded surge-buy options that may raise the total value to $66 million if fully exercised, the company said.Spire shares rose 2.2% in after-hours trading.
