Suntory PepsiCo Opens Sixth Vietnam Plant

Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam (SPVB) opened its sixth manufacturing facility in Vietnam, a $300 million plant in Tay Ninh province near Ho Chi Minh City, the company said in a LinkedIn post.

The facility incorporates integrated automation, digital manufacturing systems and SPVB's first fully automated warehouse in Vietnam and the region.

The plant has an annual production capacity of 1.24 billion liters and will manufacture seven beverage brands, including Pepsi, Aquafina and 7Up, according to a Monday Nikkei Asia report.

SPVB is a joint venture between Suntory Beverage & Food (TYO:2587) and PepsiCo.

Shares of Suntory Beverage rose nearly 1% in recent trade.
