Sunda Energy: Matahio NZ Onshore Receives New Zealand Petroleum Mining Permit

Sunda Energy (SNDA.L) said Thursday that New Zealand Petroleum and Minerals granted a 10-year petroleum mining permit in the onshore Taranaki region to Matahio NZ Onshore.

The London-listed exploration and appraisal company is acquiring Matahio NZ Onshore's parent company Matahio Energy NZ, with completion expected in September, subject to approval from the New Zealand government.

The permit covers the Puka oil and gas field and Oru exploration prospect.

NACCO Industries (NC) unit North American Mining said late Wednesday it executed multi-year contract extensions with clients in Florida and Arkansas.The extended contracts position the unit to support growing infrastructure demand through nearly 5 million tons of annual production, according to a statement.North American Mining has extended its contract with the Florida customer by 20 years and its contract with the sand and gravel client in Arkansas by four years, the company said.
