Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (NSE:SUNPHARMA, BOM:524715) consolidated net profit increased to 28.9 billion Indian rupees in the fiscal first quarter ended June 30, against 22.8 billion rupees a year ago.
Earnings per share climbed to 12.1 rupees compared with 9.5 rupees a year earlier, the pharmaceutical company said in a filing to the Indian stock exchanges on Friday.
Total revenue from operations in fiscal Q1 also grew to 153 billion rupees from 138.5 billion rupees a year ago.
