SUM Technology to Acquire 51% Stake in INI Technologies

SUM Technology (KLSE:SUM) has agreed to acquire a 51% stake in INI Technologies for 2 million ringgit in cash as part of its expansion plans, according to a Tuesday filing to the Malaysian bourse.

The proposed acquisition aims to expand the company's capabilities in mechanical, electrical, process utilities, and firefighting (MEPF) into the complementary field of intelligent security, monitoring, and automation solutions.

The acquisition will be funded entirely through internal resources.

The transaction is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2026, after which INI Technologies will become a 51%-owned subsidiary of Sum Technology.
