Straumann Holding (STMN.SW) on Wednesday named a new incoming chief executive officer and reported year-over-year growth in profit and revenue for the first half.
The dental products company appointed Christopher Norbye as the successor to Chief Executive Officer Guillaume Daniellot, who will leave after seven years in the role and almost 20 years in total with the group. The appointment, effective Dec. 1, marks Norbye's return to medical technology as he joins from Swedish refrigeration and climate control group Beijer Ref (BEIJ-B.ST), where he served as CEO.
The appointment comes as Straumann published results for the six months ended June 30. Net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company increased year over year to 249.7 million francs from 236.4 million francs, while its revenue grew to 1.38 billion francs from 1.35 billion francs.
"We delivered a strong second quarter and first half, with growth across all regions, especially from mature markets, and a significant improvement in profitability at constant exchange rates. Our performance demonstrates future growth potential in premium implantology through iEXCEL and differentiated treatment workflows, while expanding access through Neodent and our broader multi-brand portfolio," commented Daniellot.
Looking ahead, the group affirmed expectations for high-single-digit organic revenue growth and its upgraded profitability guidance for full-year 2026.
Shares of the company dropped over 6% in early morning trading.
