By

Stonepeak, an alternative investment firm focused on infrastructure and real assets, has made an equity investment in Ampyr Distributed Energy, a distributed energy infrastructure platform launched in 2024 with AGP, an independent global sustainable infrastructure investor and operator.

AGP will retain an interest in ADE, which invests in, owns and operates distributed energy assets across the UK and Europe, providing onsite renewable power infrastructure to commercial and industrial customers.

ADE has a pipeline of more than 1 gigawatt and has contracted 250 megawatts of renewable energy projects across 200 sites, Stonepeak said.

The investment will provide ADE with additional capital and expertise to launch new projects and accelerate development across its operating markets, the company said.
