Star Sports Medicine (HKG:1609) plans to buy back up to 2.90 million H shares, or about 5.29% of its issued H shares, under a mandate approved by shareholders at the company's annual meeting on June 26, according to a Tuesday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.
Repurchases will be carried out in the open market and funded with internal resources. The repurchase price will not surpass 105% of the average closing price over the five trading days preceding each relevant repurchase transaction, the filing said.
Shares of Star Sports Medicine added nearly 6% at market close.
