Standard Chartered Appoints CFO, COO

Standard Chartered (HKG:2888) appointed Manus Costello as group chief financial officer, according to a Monday Hong Kong bourse filing.

Costello will first serve as interim group chief financial officer, with immediate effect, and report directly to Chief Executive Bill Winters.

He joined Standard Chartered in April 2024 as global head of investor relations after spending 25 years in equity research, including as a founding partner and global head of research at Autonomous.

The bank also appointed Tanuj Kapilashrami as group chief operating officer, with immediate effect.

Senco Gold Reports Burglary at Franchisee Showroom in West Bengal, India

Senco Gold (NSE:SENCO, BOM:543936) confirmed Friday news reports of a burglary incident at a franchisee showroom in West Bengal, India.The Indian jewellery store company added that the franchisee in Dhuliyan, Murshidabad, filed a report with the local police and its insurance company. Store employees are safe and unharmed.Senco Gold also noted that the Thursday incident has no inventory or financial impact on the company but that it will provide "comprehensive support" to its franchisee.
