StanChart Buys Back Shares

Standard Chartered (HKG:2888) repurchased 773,000 shares on Thursday at an average price of 19.33 pounds sterling apiece, according to a Friday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.

The British lender plans to cancel the shares, following which it will have about 2.21 billion shares in issue.

NEC Capital Solutions Issues 24 Billion Yen in Two Unsecured Bond Series

NEC Capital Solutions (TYO:8793) plans to issue its 32nd and 33rd unsecured bond series, each totalling 12 billion yen, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Friday.The 32nd bonds carry an interest rate of 2.086% with a maturity date of May 28, 2029, while the 33rd bonds bear a 2.567% rate and mature on May 28, 2031.Both series are unsecured, have a face value of 100 million yen per bond, and will be issued at par with redemption also at par.The bonds received credit ratings of A from Japan Credit Rating Agency and A- from Rating & Investment Information, with payment scheduled for May 28.
