St Barbara Posts Higher Q4 Gold Production, Sales

St Barbara (ASX:SBM) said fourth quarter gold production from its New Simberi Operations was 14,658 ounces at an all-in sustaining cost (AISC) of AU$4,514 per ounce, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.

The company said New Simberi sales for the fourth quarter totalled 13,399 ounces at an average realised price of AU$6,314 per ounce, with St Barbara's attributable gold sales of 6,700 ounces, and a further 187 ounces sold at AU$6,572 per ounce from gold recovery work at the Touquoy processing plant.

In the same period last year, the company reported 14,620 ounces of gold production at an AISC of AU$4,613 per ounce with sales of 15,564 ounces at an average realised price of AU$5,117 per ounce, an earlier filing showed.

St Barbara's cash balance as at June 30 was AU$475 million, with attributable cash and gold bullion across New Simberi Gold Group a further AU$21 million and listed investments of AU$13 million, it added.

CapitaLand India Trust (SGX:CY6U) has used SG$45.6 million, representing 30.4% of the gross proceeds of the private placement conducted earlier this year, according to a Wednesday filing to the Singapore stock exchange.Of the SG$100 million earmarked to part fund the ongoing development and construction as part of its acquisition of Building 1 of Ebisu in Bangalore, India, the manager used SG$37.3 million.The company also used SG$5.7 million of the SG$47.4 million allotted to part fund the ongoing development and construction of and acquisition of an office project in Bangalore from Maia Estates Offices.It also used SG$2.6 million to pay all the fees and expenses tied to the private placement.The company's shares were up nearly 2% in recent trade.
