Block's (XYZ) Square unit said Tuesday it has expanded its partnership with Booking's (BKNG) OpenTable unit to integrate restaurant reservation, guest and transaction data in a unified view.
The expanded integration will combine OpenTable's reservation history, dining preferences and guest information with Square's transaction and operational data, the company said.
Restaurants will be able to link reservations to spending, repeat visits and customer profiles to support loyalty, marketing and guest engagement, Square said.
Future enhancements will focus on onboarding, reservation workflows, guest data, and integration of loyalty and payment experiences, according to the company.
Booking and Block shares were 2% and 0.6% higher, respectively, in Tuesday trading.
