Square Enix Holdings' (TYO:9684) profit attributable to owners of the parent jumped 175.7% to 13.2 billion yen in the fiscal first quarter from 4.8 billion yen a year earlier.
The video game and entertainment company's earnings per share more than doubled to 36.71 yen from 13.32 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Monday.
Net sales increased 32.3% to 78.4 billion yen in the three months ended June 30 from 59.3 billion yen in the year-ago period.
For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, the company anticipates attributable profit of 31 billion yen, basic EPS of 85.99 yen and net sales of 298 billion yen.
The company expects to pay an interim dividend of 18 yen per share and a year-end dividend of 25 yen per share for the fiscal year.
