South Port New Zealand (NZE:SPN) confirmed that former chief executive officer of CentrePort Derek Nind was appointed CEO, effective July 27, according to a Friday New Zealand bourse filing.
South Port's current CEO, Nigel Gear, will complete his term as chief executive at the end of May. Nind stepped down from the South Port board upon confirmation of his appointment.
In addition, the company's chair, Philip Cory-Wright, plans to retire from the board at the annual shareholders' meeting in October, and the board confirmed that Nicola Greer will assume the role of chair upon Cory-Wright's retirement.
