South Korea's science ministry has chosen three teams led by SK Telecom (KRX:017670), KT (KRX:030200) and Kakao (KRX:035720) as business operators and creators of publicly accessible AI services, according to a Friday release.
Each team will receive a total of 512 B200 graphics processing units (GPUs), with the government allocating budgets to cover expenses for launching the service next year.
The parties will sign an agreement in September, with each of their services to be launched within the year.
The move is part of the government's "Everyone's AI" initiative, which aims to provide the public free access to AI services.
