Sony Group's Fiscal Q1 Net Income Jumps 32%

Sony Group (TYO:6758) reported a 32.1% increase in net income attributable to shareholders for the fiscal first quarter ended June 30 to 342.2 billion yen from 259.0 billion yen a year earlier.

Earnings per share climbed to 57.82 yen from 42.84 yen in the year-ago period, according to a Friday filing with the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

Sales in fiscal Q1 rose 8.2% year on year to 2.838 trillion yen from 2.622 trillion yen.

For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, the company expects an attributable profit of 1.210 trillion yen and sales of 12.500 trillion yen.

Sony Group expects to pay interim and year-end dividends of 17.50 yen per share each for the current fiscal year.
