Solar Industries India (NSE:SOLARINDS, BOM:532725) said its wholly owned step-down subsidiary, Solar SA Investments, agreed to acquire all outstanding shares of South Africa's Omnia Holdings for about $1.36 billion in an all-cash transaction.
The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals and approval by Omnia shareholders, according to a Monday filing on Indian bourses.

South Korea's main stock market, the Korea Exchange, will enable trading till 8 pm following the regular close at 3:30 pm from Monday, in its move toward 24-hour trading, Bloomberg News reported Sunday.This decision opens 2,400 Korea Composite Stock Price Index, or Kospi, and Kosdaq stocks for evening trades, which include short-selling.
