Snap (SNAP) is being sued by Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin, who alleges the company engaged in deceptive trade practices that put minors at risk, according to a statement released Thursday.
The complaint cites Snapchat features such as disappearing messages, cosmetic filters and curated content, which the attorney general says expose minors to a range of harms.
The lawsuit also alleges that certain design elements create a "dopamine feedback loop" similar to slot-machine mechanics, encouraging prolonged use by young people.
Snap did not immediately respond to a request for comment from.
