Semiconductor Manufacturing International (HKG:0981, SHA:688981), or SMIC, recorded a 5% rise in attributable profit in the first quarter of 2026 to $197.4 million from $188 million a year prior, according to a Thursday Hong Kong bourse filing.
Earnings per share remained unchanged at $0.02 across the periods.
Revenue for the three months increased 12% to $2.51 billion from $2.25 billion in the year-ago period.
The firm expects revenue to increase by 14% to 16% in the second quarter compared with the three months ended March 31.
