SMC (TYO:6273) posted a 96% year-over-year rise in profit attributable to owners of the parent to 67.8 billion yen for the three months ended June 30 from 34.6 billion yen.
The pneumatic control device maker's basic earnings per share increased to 1,076.01 yen from 543.79 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo Stock Exchange filing on Friday.
Net sales jumped 35% to 271 billion yen from 200 billion yen in the year-ago period.
For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, the company forecasts an attributable profit of 170 billion yen, basic EPS of 2,692.46 yen, and net sales of 1 trillion yen.
The company plans to pay a second quarter-end dividend of 500 yen per share for the current fiscal year.
