SK (KRX:034730) has launched a tender offer to acquire 10.1 million common shares of SK Signet at 8,200 won per share, totalling 82.6 billion won, with the transaction expected to close by Aug. 26.
The acquisition is aimed at delisting SK Signet from the KONEX market. SK will hold a 99.77% stake upon completion, according to a Korea bourse filing on Friday.
The tender offer period runs from July 24 to Aug. 24, but the final number of shares acquired may vary depending on tender participation, and the company's ownership figures include adjustments for convertible preferred shares held by investor Rio Jeil-ho Private Equity Fund.
