SK Enmove, LG Electronics to Develop Next-Gen Refrigerants, Immersion Cooling Technology

SK Enmove and LG Electronics (KRX:066570) have signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly develop next-generation refrigerants, refrigeration lubricants and liquid immersion cooling technology for home appliances, commerce and industries, according to a Wednesday release.

The partnership aims to address demand for refrigerants with low greenhouse gas emissions amid a rise in global environmental regulations.

Meanwhile, the companies' joint research will focus on immersion cooling technologies catering to data centers and industrial heat management systems.

Shares of LG Electronics fell more than 3% in recent trade.
