China Petroleum & Chemical (HKG:0386, SHA:600028), or Sinopec, repurchased shares for approximately 500 million yuan, according to a Shanghai bourse filing on Tuesday.
The oil giant bought back 104,257,050 shares for 4.44 yuan to 5.31 yuan each.
The share buyback was implemented between June 15 and Sept. 14.
All repurchased shares will be cancelled, reducing the company's total shares to about 97 billion shares from 97.1 billion shares.
