Singapore shares were muted at the open on Monday after U.S. President Donald Trump issued a fresh warning on Sunday of possible strikes on Iran if Hezbollah continues its attacks on Israel.
The Straits Times Index opened little changed at 5,189.140.
The cautious sentiment came as high-level negotiations involving U.S. and Iranian officials wrapped up, with mediators Pakistan and Qatar saying talks had ended after discussions in Switzerland got off to a tense start, including objections from Tehran over Trump's public threats of military action.
