Factory-gate prices in Singapore rose in May, with the Domestic Supply Price Index edging up 34.2% year over year, while the Singapore Manufactured Products Price Index grew 30.8%, according to the Singapore Department of Statistics on Monday.
The Domestic Supply Price Index growth accelerated from the 32.1% increase logged the previous month, but missed the Trading Economics forecast for a 35% growth.
The Manufactured Products PPI expansion also accelerated from the 27.5% growth recorded in April.
On a month-on-month basis, the Domestic Supply Price Index fell 1.9% in May after growing 3.4% in April, while the Manufactured Products PPI edged down 0.2%, reversing the 6.7% expansion between March and April.
