Singapore Airlines' (SGX:C6L) attributable profit to owners dropped to SG$945.5 million in the fiscal second half ended March 31 from SG$2.05 billion a year earlier, according to an after-market filing with the Singapore Exchange.
Earnings per share declined to SG$0.3 from SG$0.65 a year ago. Analysts polled by Visible Alpha projected EPS of SG$0.265 for the period.
Revenue rose to SG$10.8 billion year over year from SG$10.0 billion, beating Visible Alpha forecasts of SG$10.7 billion.
The city-state's airline company reported an interim dividend of SG$0.05 per share at a final dividend of SG$0.22 per share for the period, along with a special interim dividend of SG$0.03 per share and a special final dividend of SG$0.07 per share.
The dividends will be paid on Aug. 28, the filing said.
