Singapore Airlines (SGX:C6L) and Air China (HKG:0753, SHA:601111) have signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a commercial joint venture, with a view to expanding their codeshare network beyond existing routes, according to a joint release on Monday.
Under the partnership, the two companies will explore joint fare products, marketing and revenue-sharing arrangements.
Through their pre-existing Star Alliance partnership, members will be able to earn and redeem miles flexibly across both airlines.
The two parties will also exchange best practices in ground handling, catering and in-flight services.
