Silver Bow Mining (SBMT) reestablished underground access at its Rainbow Block Silver-Zinc Project in Montana, marking the first underground exploration in the Butte Mining District in 35 years, the company said Wednesday.
The company plans to restore the Chief Joseph Decline and establish underground drill stations to improve access to mineralized structures and accelerate resource drilling.
Silver Bow Mining has also begun preparing the site for a new Rainbow Portal about 1,000 feet north of the Chief Joseph Portal to expand underground access as exploration progresses.
