Silicon Motion Technology (SIMO) said Thursday that it has completed the first stage of its compliance program for the European Union Cyber Resilience Act, or CRA.
The company said it has aligned its product cybersecurity controls and processes with the CRA's incident-reporting obligations that are slated to take effect on Sept. 11.
The effort represents a preparatory step ahead of the CRA's full application on Dec. 11, 2027, the company said, adding that it will continue to evolve its program as the act's remaining implementing guidance and standards are further developed and finalized.
Shares of the company were down more than 3% in early Thursday trading.
