Shenzhen Gas (SHA:601139) will invest up to 2.42 billion yuan to build the Dalang Power Plant in China's Guangdong Province.
The project will consist of two 9F gas-fired cogeneration units with capacities of 470 megawatts apiece, according to a Thursday filing with the Shanghai bourse.
Construction is set to begin in August 2026, with the first unit starting trial operation in the fourth quarter of 2028 and the second in the first quarter of 2029.
Shares of the natural gas distributor climbed 1% in recent trade.
