Shell (SHEL.L, SHELL.AS) completed the acquisition of British Columbia and Alberta, Canada-focused energy company ARC Resources at an enterprise value of $16.5 billion, including $2.5 billion in net debt and leases.
ARC shareholders will be paid a per-share consideration comprising CA$8.20 in cash and 0.40247 ordinary share in Shell, or a total equity value of $13.9 billion, according to a Wednesday release.
The European oil and gas company expects the transaction to boost its liquids and gas production compound annual growth rate by 4% through 2030, compared with the 2025 level.
