Shell (SHEL.L, SHELL.AS) agreed to increase its equity in Tri Star Energy to 100% from 33%, boosting its share of directly-owned convenience retail and fuel distribution sites in the US.
The company is acquiring the additional stake from The Parman Corp., Kimbro Oil Co., and their subsidiaries, according to a Tuesday release. Shell will add another 320 fuel and convenience retail sites and supply agreements with 552 dealer-owned sites in the US.
Completion is expected by the end of 2026, subject to regulatory clearance and closing conditions.
