Shanxi Coking Coal Energy (SHE:000983) suspended production at its Xiqu mine following an Aug. 5 safety accident that killed one person.
The mine, with an annual approved capacity of 2.7 million tons, represents 5.67% of the company's total capacity, according to a Friday filing with the Shenzhen bourse.
Government authorities are investigating the incident.
Shares of the coal company were down 2% in recent trade.
