Shanghai International Airport's Passenger Throughput Slips in May

Shanghai International Airport (SHA:600009) posted lower passenger throughput at its two airports in May, according to a Monday filing with the Shanghai bourse.

At the Pudong International Airport, passenger throughput slipped 1% year over year to around 7 million, while its cargo and mail throughput jumped 18% to 395,800 tons, and aircraft movements fell 2.3% to 45,297 flights.

The Hongqiao International Airport's passenger throughput fell 2.3% year on year to 4.2 million, while cargo and mail throughput rose 10% to 39,700 tons, and aircraft movements edged 1.2% lower to 23,622 flights.
