Shanghai Electric Group (HKG:2727, SHA:601727) is set to recover approximately 215.4 million yuan following a second-instance court judgment in its long-running loan dispute with SINOMEC Engineering Group, according to Hong Kong and Shanghai bourse filings late Tuesday.
The litigation stems from a 1 billion yuan loan dispute where SINOMEC failed to fulfill its contractual repayment obligations. Shanghai Electric pursued legal action at the Shanghai Financial Court, leading to a ruling that ordered SINOMEC to clear its liabilities.
