Shanghai Electric Power's (SHA:600021) power generation in the first half fell 7.6% year on year to almost 35 billion kilowatt hours, according to a Shanghai bourse filing on Saturday.
The power company rose 1% during Monday's afternoon trade.
The coal-fired power, gas-fired power and wind power all declined from a year earlier. Only solar power recorded year-on-year growth.
Total on-grid electricity slipped 7.8% year on year to 33.5 billion kWh.
