Shandong Chenming Paper Holdings (HKG:1812, SHE:000488) was named defendant or respondent in 56 new litigation cases between June 12 and Aug. 13, involving a combined 792.9 million yuan, mainly over overdue debts and contract disputes.
Five cases involving 1.2 million yuan have been decided, while 51 cases totaling 791.7 million yuan remain pending, according to a Friday Hong Kong exchange filing. No compulsory enforcement procedures have been initiated, the company said, adding that it is negotiating settlements with creditors.
Shares of the company rose over 2% in Monday's trade.
