SFL (SFL) share rose 3.1% on Friday after the company said in a regulatory filing that it agreed to a charter extension for six container vessels with Hapag-Lloyd for seven more years.
The new charter contracts will increase the company's fixed-rate charter backlog by $750 million to $4.6 billion, according to the filing.
The company has added over $1 billion to its charter backlog this year, underpinning its robust earnings visibility, according to a statement.
