Seibu's (TYO:9024) profit attributable to owners of parent rose 24% to 16.8 billion yen in the fiscal first quarter ended June 30 from 13.5 billion yen a year earlier.
The railway operator's diluted earnings per share increased to 65.88 yen from 51.33 yen a year ago, according to a Friday Japan Exchange filing.
Operating revenue expanded 17% to 154.6 billion yen from 132.4 billion yen a year earlier.
For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, Seibu projects a 30.5% drop in attributable profit to 27 billion yen, or 106.22 yen per share, with an operating revenue of 559 billion yen, up 8.9%.
The company expects to pay a year-end dividend of 21 yen per share, bringing the full-year dividend to 42 yen per share.
Seibu's shares fell 2.5% in recent trade.
