Seeka (NZE:SEK) expects 2026 net profit before tax in the range of NZ$38 million to NZ$42 million, compared with NZ$47.5 million in the previous year, according to a Wednesday filing with the New Zealand bourse.
The company issued its first earnings outlook for the year after the completion of the 2026 kiwifruit harvests across New Zealand and Australia, noting that kiwifruit underpins its overall financial performance.
In New Zealand, total class 1 kiwifruit packed for 2026 reached 45.4 million trays, compared with 47.1 million trays in the previous year, reflecting a return to more typical growing conditions following strong yields in 2025.
In Australia, the company harvested about 2.3 million kilograms of kiwifruit, down 14% from the previous year as some expected production growth did not materialize due to a hot and dry growing season.
Seeka shares slid 1% in recent Wednesday trade.
