Tech stocks were higher late Tuesday afternoon, with the State Street Technology Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLK) up 1.4% and the State Street SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) adding 1.9%.
The Philadelphia Semiconductor index climbed 2.9%.
In corporate news, Oaktree Capital Management-backed Pure Data Centres is building a data center campus in Finland that is expected to be used by customers including Microsoft (MSFT), Bloomberg reported. Pure Data Centres is investing 1.5 billion euros ($1.7 billion) in the first phase of the project, the report said. Microsoft shares were down 1.3%.
