AbbVie (ABBV) has agreed to acquire Apogee Therapeutics (APGE) for $135.11 per share in cash for a total equity value of $10.9 billion. Shares of Apogee Therapeutics were up nearly 47% pre-bell, while AbbVie rose 2.3%.
Definium Therapeutics (DFTX) shares were up more than 60% after the company said the phase 3 Emerge trial of a single 100-microgram dose of DT120 orally disintegrating tablet in major depressive disorder met the primary endpoint, along with all key secondary efficacy endpoints.
MapLight Therapeutics' (MPLT) phase 2 trial of ML-004 in autism spectrum disorder failed to meet its primary endpoint in social communication, the company said. MapLight Therapeutics stock was up 1.6% premarket.
