Healthcare stocks declined late Wednesday afternoon, with the NYSE Healthcare Index falling 1% and the State Street Health Care Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLV) shedding 1.3%.
The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) rose 1.3%.
In corporate news, ResMed (RMD) shares fell 4.3% after Morgan Stanley downgraded the company to equalweight from overweight and cut its price target to $230 from $286.
